Established in the year 1990, the library is located in the premise of the Islamic Centre in USM’s main campus. This library has been set up to support the reference and information needs of the Islamic Centre as well as the needs of those in the field of Islamic Studies and Islamic Civilization. The collection covers topics of various Islamic disciplines such as history, philosophy, shari’ah (law), da'wah (missionary), economics, medicine, science and technology, general knowledge, research and etc. Since January 2006 the management and services of the library has been integrated with that of the Hamzah Sendut Library. It now has a collection of about 13,000 books on the various topics mentioned.
